Verification of a Weighing System – What Does It Include?
Verification means that the scale is tested and approved for official use.
Typically, this includes:
- type approval (required before verification)
- initial verification

Accuracy and Resolution – What Does the “e Value” Mean?
One of the most important concepts in weighing is the e value, which defines the scale interval, i.e., its resolution.
In practice:
- the e value can be, for example, 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 kg
- it determines how precisely the weight is displayed
The resolution is influenced by factors such as machine capacity and the e value of pressure transmitters.
For example, with a pressure transmitter rated at 250e:
- with an 11-ton lifting capacity, 100 kg intervals or smaller 50 kg intervals can be used

- the minimum weighable load is defined by the number of intervals, which is 10e
